Features (left to right) India, Africa, Palestine and China. The Missionary Exhibition illustrated the work of the church in Canada, Ceylon, China, India, Japan, Palestine and the Isle of the Sea 'to arouse and quicken interest in the work of the whole church abroad'. etc. See the Sheffield Daily Telegraph, 10 September 1925 (page 6) From a photograph album entitled 'vol. 2 England 1923, 1925-1926.' The album appears to relate to St Cuthbert's parish, Fir Vale. It is possible, given the title, it belonged to Rev. B. Jayawardina who features on a few of the photographs. (He may have originated from Sri Lanka.) |
